KURT G. THIEL: THE ENTREPRENEUR/PILOT WHO CREATED MOREFLOOR

The Destiny of a Motorsport Enthusiast

Kurt G. Thiel began his professional career in Geneva, Switzerland, at Caterpillar, where he remained loyal for 32 years.

In 2016, he decided, with his wife, to start his own business and launch MOREFLOOR, a way to take his freedom, true to

his motto: “Work hard and have fun.” Kurt defines himself as a freedom-loving person. This motorsport enthusiast won the

Elf steering wheel at Magny Cours in late ’79, first participating in the French Formula Renault Championship, finishing

5th in the championship with a victory at the Nürburgring, before moving on to Grand Touring cars. There he discovered

that he had the qualities required especially for endurance racing. Since then, he has participated in 25 24-hour races,

including 3 first places at the famous Nordschleife and one in Dubai in 2021. Recently, he built his own Porsche 911 RSR

2.8l (during Covid) and participated for the third year in the Peter Auto Championship. Most recently, he participated in

the 2024 Tour Auto where he finished 5th overall. Not bad for a first attempt in rallying!
