[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]LORIGE is a Franco-Swiss ultra-luxury watch brand, created in 2018 following the meeting at Le Mans of two motorsport enthusiasts, Emeric Paraud and Cl\u00e9ment Etienvre. Their aim, through their watches, is to arouse and transmit the emotion felt on the racetrack.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1513523″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1513527″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text][eltdf_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]For[\/eltdf_dropcaps]their new creation, the aim is to honor the legend of Ayrton Senna, by designing and manufacturing a model worthy of this automotive history. If this model is already unique in its design, it is even more so in its materials. The housing is machined from the carbon\/carbon brake pads of the McLaren MP4\/8 raced by Ayrton in the 1993 season. This timepiece can therefore only be made once, and in only eight examples – as many as the number of brake pads from Ayrton’s Formula 1 car.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_single_image image=”1513535″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]It took the two partners more than three years to patent the specific techniques for reprocessing the carbon\/carbon from the racing car’s brakes and transforming them into waterproof watch cases, to the quality standards of haute horlogerie. The LOR-TC01 movement with Tourbillon in central position, designed in collaboration with Timeless unit\u00e9 Renaud-Favre, is a mechanical masterpiece in its own right. It comprises a total of 323 components, with the upper tourbillon cage in titanium. “This movement, which we created with Pierre Favre, is a real technical challenge, achieved by a fantastic team of watchmakers and technicians,” admits Dominique Renaud, watch designer of this original timepiece.<\/p>\n
